In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Physiotherapy, SRIHER, organized a special programme titled “Yoga for Wellness, Wisdom & World Peace” on 12 June 2026 in observance of the International Day of Yoga. The programme was held at the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Physiotherapy from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The session was conducted by the Yoga Veeras from Isha Yoga Foundation, Coimbatore, who served as the resource persons for the event. The programme highlighted the importance of yoga in achieving holistic wellness, cultivating inner wisdom, and fostering peace and harmony within individuals and society.
Participants were guided through a series of yoga practices, including breathing exercises and Miracle of Mind meditation techniques aimed at enhancing concentration, emotional well-being, and mental clarity. The interactive session encouraged participants to experience the transformative benefits of yoga and understand its role in promoting a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
The programme successfully enhanced awareness regarding the therapeutic and preventive aspects of yoga. It reinforced the value of yoga as an effective tool for physical health, mental resilience, emotional stability, and overall well-being.
The event witnessed active participation from 35 participants, including students and staff members, making it a meaningful and enriching celebration of the International Day of Yoga 2026.
